Professor Bappa-Aliyu Muhammadu Executive Secretary, National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE)

Professor Bappa-Aliyu Muhammadu is the Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) in Nigeria. Prior to his appointment, he was the Professor in Technology Education at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, Bauchi State between 2012 to 2016 and Dean, School of Technology Education ATBU Bauchi between 2011-2012.

Professor Bappa-Aliyu Muhammadu has contributed immensely to the development of education across various fields he has chaired or participated in. He was the Council Chairman, Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi (2008-2009); Member NCCE Accreditation Team July, 2000, Member, Step-B Project, School of Technology Education ATBU November, 2008; Chairman School Standing Committee (2012) to date; Member/Secretary Task Force o n Outstanding Examination Result of Consultancy Courses ATIL/ATBU, July 2002; Member (JOTER) Editorial Board (2012); Member, Taskforce on Outstanding Examinations Result of Consultancy Courses (2002); Member ATIL Restructuring Committee (2006); Chairman, VTE Disciplinary Committee (2007); Chairman School Promotion Committee (2012) to date; Chairman School Board (STE) (20011) to date; Chairman STE Post Graduate Committee (2010 to date; Chairman STE Library Committee (2010) to date and the Course Adviser VTE (2010) to date.

Professor Bappa-Aliyu Muhammadu is a member of over a dozen professional bodies and honours such as: Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), American Society for Training and Development (ASDT), Nigerian Association of Teachers of Technology (NATT), American Vocational Association (AVA), Institute of Chartered Training Managers (FICTM), Institute of Security and Safety Education of Nigeria (FISS), Fellow, Nigerian Association of Teachers of technology (FNATT) 2009, Fellow, Institute of Security and Safety Education of Nigeria (FISSEN), Fellow, Institute of Charted Training Managers (FICTM) just to mention but a few.
